Rudy Baylor (Matt Damon) is a young and unemployed lawyer who grew up in slums, under constant abuse from his alcoholic father. He works in bars for a while to make a living. In his new job he has to stand against a powerful insurance company as he is also the only hope of an elderly couple after their insurance company refuses to payout a claim that could save their 22 year old child’s life who has leukemia. With actors such as Matt Damon, Danny DeVito, Virginia Madsen and Jori Voight, Rainmaker is directed by one of the most important directors of all time, Francis Ford Coppola.
The movie, which intelligently and sincerely tells the struggle for life, is one of the best films on the field of law.
