While foreigners are allowed to work in Türkiye, some professions are prohibited for foreigners. These prohibited professions are regulated in specific laws, and their current status is as follows:
- Founders, Managers, Trainers, and Representatives authorized by the Corporate Partner of Private Security Companies,
- Private Security Officers,
- Neighborhood Patrollers,
- Certified Public Accountants,
- Members of Cooperative Management Boards,
- Assistant Customs Consultants,
- Founders of Schools Teaching in a Language Other Than Turkish and Established by Foreigners,
- Responsible Managers in Private Hospitals,
- Dentists,
- Nurses,
- Pharmacists,
- Veterinarians,
- Foreign Assistants Working Outside of Specialization Training,
- Notaries,
- Judges and Prosecutors,
- Lawyers,
- Mediators,
- Experts,
- Concordat Commissioners,
- Trainee Aviation Information Management Officers,
- Honorary Traffic Inspectors,
- Transport Business Organizers,
- Agency Officers, Travel Agency Officers,
- Tourist Guides,
- Fish, Oyster, Mussel, Sponge, Pearl, Coral Exporters, Divers, Searchers, Pilots, Captains, Engineers, Clerks, Crew Working in Territorial Waters
- Sports Consultants,
- Agricultural Labor Brokers,
- Ship Agency Officials and Ship Agency Personnel,
- Permanent Supervisors, Technical Staff.
In 2011, the requirement to be Turkish for the professions of physiciancy and nursing was abolished with the Decree Law on the Organization and Duties of the Ministry of Health and its Affiliated Institutions.
